Dr Marina Funduk participated at the informal discussion on “Circular economy in the EU: Revolution by Regulation” with Mr Jaroslaw Pietras, Director-General for Transport, Energy, Environment and Education (TREE) at the Council, on 14 May 2019 in Bruxelles. The General Secretariat of the Council of the EU has recently launched a dialogue to strengthen its cooperation with leading think tanks and organisations shaping the EU policy through expert analysis and policy debate. Ms Funduk was invited as the representative of the Institute for Development and International Relations from Zagreb, to discuss with other participants a theme relevant for future EU policy development – circular economy, with all its implications for sustainable development, climate change and decarbonisation.
